After a period of dormancy, the Wales in London society is back thanks to the support of Menai Science Park (M-SParc) on Anglesey. Recognising the need for a ‘one stop shop’ for the community of Welsh Diaspora in London, efforts have been underway to completely re-brand the society.
Their first even is Celebration of Female Founders, focusing on remarkable women in business. The revival of Wales in London wouldn’t have been possible without the women involved, so it’s a fitting celebration for the launch of the re-brand.
The event will take place on the 6th of June at The Shard from 6pm to 8:30pm.
The event’s lineup of guest speakers includes:
Catrin Owen- Co-founder of Tropic design studio.
Nan Williams- Group chief executive of Four Communications Agency and Chair of Global Welsh
Women Angels of Wales- Development Bank of Wales.
Baroness Carmen Smith of Llanfaes.
Tropic design studio has been vital in leading the re-brand of Wales in London. Catrin Owen said:

A notable section of the evening will be the presence of Baroness Carmen Smith, the youngest member ever appointed to the House of Lords. A native of Anglesey, Carmen’s journey epitomises determination and achievement, making her a source of inspiration for aspiring leaders.
